ANTIQUE CARVED ART NOUVEAU PANEL circa 1900âe(tm)s MAHOGANY and/or WALNUT âe"25 inches long and 9 ¼ inches wide.
Swirl carving, different thickness. Beautiful deep center design. The design covers most of the panel, with a small margin (about 1/2 inch) all around the 4 sides. INFORMATION: The carved design is in good condition âe" no parts missing, maybe one or two very small minor cracks âe" not deep, hardly visible. (One picture is LIGHT to show carving details) Panel weighs just about 4 ½ pounds before any packing materials. Slight bow in the center of the panel âe" see photo. Would disappear if you framed the panel or mounted it to a piece of furniture. Really doesnâe(tm)t distract from the panel. Finish on the wood is in pretty good condition âe" Original rich color, but with a little wear. Finish is uniform âe" not bubbled up, just a few lighter colors areas show through when you look close-up. Far right side of the panel has some crackle to the wood âe" not on the design but on the right margin. See photo of right side. Panel is about 1/2 inch thick, plus the thickness of the carving. A few nicks on the side edges and slight roughness âe" probably just from handling. Two of the outside corners have small chips missing from the outside edges of the margin. Measurements are 25 inches by 9 ¼ inches . WOULD BE GOOD JUST TO HANG THIS AS A DECORATION ON THE WALL if you didnâe(tm)t want to mount this on a piece of furniture. ALL SALES FINAL. I am selling items that are close to a hundred years old. Naturally t will be irregularities and flaws, just because of the age.
