This beautifully carved camphor wood box has been in my family since 2nd world war time. I believe it was brought in to Liverpool by a Blue funnel Line Captain from the Far East. Obviously it is not in perfect condition.Does have some scratches and damage.Hinges and catch work fine.In need of some tlc Has a warp at the back though the high relief carving is rather lovely. Always used as a blanket box. Great as a handsome storage unit. Dimensions in cm width 90 depth 42 and height 43 approx.
