VINTAGE / OLD ~ CAST COPPER ~ ** BUNNY RABBIT FIGURE ** Very Detailed! ~ NO RESERVE ~ ITEM: Vintage Cast Copper Bunny Rabbit Figurine SIZE: Figure Measures: 2 & 1/4" in height; 2 & 1/4" in width (highest/ widest points) ITEM DETAILS: This piece appears to be on the rare side, as I've tried to research it for quite awhile now, and have not been able to find another piece like it. I'm nearly positive that it's solid copper, and is quite detailed for the size. The image is of a rabbit, in mid-scratch to the right cheek. One ear is up while the other is tucked down a little. I suspect it is a cast piece; however, t are no obtrusive lines around the top of the piece that would detract from the overall look of it. Although I've looked the piece over with a magnifying glass, t are absolutely no maker's marks or names that I could find. My guess is that this piece would have been used as a figurine or, possibly, as a paperweight, due to its size. I personally feel it is rather special. It would be a neat addition to any copper collection, or a wonderful Easter gift for the person who has everything. CONDITION: Good - I am considering the age and use of this item when factoring the condition. As this piece is likely older, I would say it rates in Good condition overall. It does not appear to have been polished and tfore has a nice, warm patina. I have not attempted to clean or polish it in anyway as I know some people like the look of this. It does bears some surface scratches, but I don't feel this is unusual. I did note a very faint line on the bottom, but this looks to have been t from when it was made, and probably shouldn't be considered a flaw (it does NOT travel upward to the actual figure portion). As far as I can tell, t are no major cracks, dings or dents. With age and use considered, I would still say it rates in Good condition overall.
