Here is a cast iron medal marking the sinking of the SS LUSITANIA 5 may 1915 The inscription reads Keine Bannware Der Ggrossdampher Lusitania Durch Ein Deutsches Tauchboot Versenkt 5 may 1915 Which roughly tranlated as "No Contraband" The Lusitania sank by a german uboat 5may 1915 On the reverse shows a skelington in the ticket office One of the passengers has a newspaper mentioning uboat danger At the top it says "Geschaft uber Alles" business above all The 500 oridinal medals by German Karl Goetz had the date 5 may 1915 2 days before the sinking British propaganda spread about 250.000 iron copies dated 5may 1915 Goetz made a correct one dated 7 may 1915 Thanks for looking
