Catholic Bible was published in 1958 by Hawthorn Books with a message from His Holiness Pius XII. The Old testament is the Douay Test and the New Testament and Psalms is the Westminister Text. In addition to the Holy Scripture are beautiful color pictures, maps, table of references, The Bible in Literature, Prayers and more. In the center is The Family Section of marriages, births, first sommunions, confirmations and deaths which has been filled in by the previous owners James Oliver Holton family. Aside from edges being scraped a bit-this Bible is in great condition. All the pages are attached, binding is great and in great condition. This is a Family Bible , is large and is somewhat heavy compared to the new Bibles today. If you prefer items before Vatican II, this would be a great addition. Any smudges, scratches, etc. shown in photo are from scanner and not on item. PLEASE READ: I accept PAY PAL, ONLY. I DO NOT accept any other means of payment.
