This is an antique crucifix manufactured by the Koenig Brothers in Quebec, Canada in 1904. It is in very good condition. It consists of the INRI banner at top; metal Jesus hanging from the cross; holy water font beneath Jesus; chalk figures of women praying at the feet of Jesus. The wooden base appears to be stained oak. The crucifix measures 20 1/2 inches tall and 9 1/4 inches wide at the base. As you would expect from something 103 years old, t are small chips in the chalk figures and a layer of dirt/dust as well. The colors are still vivid. This crucifix has been sitting on a dresser in my nonsmoking home for 25 years. It would make an excellent addition to any collection of religious art or religious antiques.
