This is a catlinite eagle effigy pipe. The pipe is 7 1/4" in length and a hair over3 1/2" in height. The pipe is made it a old time smoke hole, it is 1/2" in the opening and tapers slightly. If there is a lighter area of the stone I will show that in the opening photo. The stone used for this pipe came from my pit at the national monument and shrine located in Pipestone Minnesota. " This is a new pipe and has not been smoked or blessed . " This pipe was made and signed by Alan Monroe. A Oglala Lakota artist and fifth generation pipe maker from here in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Thanks for looking.
