DESCRIPTION:Up for auction are Two Rare Spanish Art Tiles by the Famous Spanish Artist and Architect César Manrique. These Abstract Expressionist Tiles have a Vibrancy of Color and Movement similar to the works of Manrique's Spanish counterparts Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró and are typical of Manrique's Work. The Tiles depict a piece of the Famous Mosaic Wall Manrique created as part of his Architectural Garden at his Home in Lanzarote. See Photo 8. The Tiles are Original and was purchased in Lanzarote (Canary Islands off of Spain) from the Manrique Estate. The Tiles picture the Abstract Line Delineation of the Spanish Bulls (Male & Female). Expressing Courage, Strength, and Fertility. The Tiles are nearly impossible to Find and Manrique's work in general Rarely comes to Market. I've never seen another pair of Tiles with the Manrique Bulls for sale. There are so few works of his available outside of Lanzarote or Spain.
