we have a Chalice that was produced between 1950-1965 by Edward B. McGlynn, of Newark, NJ. This is a beautiful Chalice that has a cross at the base that is about 3/4 " around and in the center is a set of gemstones that have been appraised to be genuine. A Diamond and four Rubys. The Chalice has a gold interior wash that is typically called a vermeil wash. This beautiful piece weighs 1 pound 4.6 ozs. It stands about 8'' tall with a 4'' in diameter cup. The bottom reads STERLING 2543 also the name McGLYNN. This Chalice is in EXCELLENT condition, nothing wrong with it that I can see. It is beautiful. I have to be honest and say I don't have any other information on this piece because it was given to me after a relative passed and I am not a religious person and I would like to see this item go to someone who is. I can tell you the previous owner WAS very religious and took very good care of this Chalice as you can see from the pictures. This is a beautiful item that needs a new home preferably with a church or someone who will cherish just how sacred this piece is.SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY PLEASE!!! Comes to you from a smoke free home. Please look at the other religious items that I have listed from the same estate. T is alot of beautiful things coming in the next few weeks so check back often!!
