Documenting the construction of The Chanin Building built at 42nd Street & Lexington Avenue in New York City between 1927 - 1929, this advertising newspaper is filled with pictures chronicling the construction of the skyscraper as well as information about the landmark building.The Art Deco era building was designed by John Sloan and T. Markoe Robertson with the assistance of architect Jacques Delamare. The New York City skyscraper is on the National Register of Historic Places.This is an original circa 1929 advertising brochure for The Chanin in newspaper format. Please note that the piece is neatly cut into two as shown the listing photographs. When pieced together the advertising brochure measures about 16 1/2" x 10 3/4". The newsprint paper shows typical toning but is supple and not crumbly.
