S Up for auction is, "Character Sketches of Romance Fiction and the Drama", 6 Volume set, Edited by Marion Harland, New York, Selmar Hess 1902. This is not the complete set, only the first 6 volumes of 10. Each volume is about 210 pages, illustrated with an immense number of photo gravures, etching, wood engraving and typo gravures. 11 3/8" by 9 1/2" and approx. 1" thick. Bound in leather with gold leaf lettering on the cover & spine. Four raised spine bands on each spine. Fine condition for its age and look beautiful up on the bookshelf.
