This item is a stock certificate for Splitdorf-Bethlehem Electrical Company signed by Charles Edison. The stock certificate is for 100 shares made out to Thomas Edison, Inc. The certificate is numbered 4027 and dated June 25, 1929. For a 93 year old certificate, it is in excellent condition. Charles Edison was the son of Thomas Edison. He served as the Secretary of the Navy under Franklin Delano Roosevelt and later became Governor of New Jersey. From 1927 to 1957, he was President of Thomas Edison, Inc.
