Japanese Tea Bowl in Gohon-Mishima Style Finely potted bowl incised with a floral design and showing the typical pink spots of the Korean Gohon-Mishima style. But the delicate execution suggest a Japanese manufacture (Kyoto?)The excellent wooden box (Kiribako - missing one piece of wood) is inscribed on the lid in kana with an unread waka and on the inside with the name of the bowl "Tama" and the signature (Kao) of Watanabe Noritsuna 'Yujitsuan'Yujitsuan (1792-1871) Was a son of Lord Tokugawa of Owari and adopted by the Watanabe Family (Daimyo of Hakata near Nagoya), he was the elder brother of Sen Gengensai Soshitsu, 11th Master of the Ura-senke and himself an important Chajin of the late Tokugawa period. On January 7 an exebition on Gengensai and Yjitsuan will started in the Ura-Senke Museum in Kyoto.
