This Very Hard-To-Find 1934 Standard Exploration Truck replica was issued in the eleventh and final year of this highly praised special promotional series. Big rugged trucks were required to go “on site” to deliver drilling compound (mud), which was used to bring drill cuttings to the surface. This truck was typical of equipment used at the time. This bright blue truck is laden with sacks of drilling mud and Standard Oil Company Exploration Division emblazoned on both doors. This item been stored “New In Box” since the day of purchase. Lledo was a brand of die cast toys , founded in 1982 by Matchbox co-founder Jack Odell and Burt Russell . Lledo is a reversal of Odell's own surname . Odell and Russell shipped machinery to a factory in Enfield, England w a new production called "Days Gone" was launched. The collaboration between Lledo of England and Chevron Oil Company was a special promotion of high quality die-cast metal replicas of vehicles used in early oil company history.
