Offered is this fine 19th century Chinese sculpture of a crane. The work displays extraordinary craftmanship throughout. The photos show the fine silver filigree work bordering delicate tufts of cloisonne which mimic the feathers. The crane is accented with coral cabochons - three on the head and 6 on the body of the bird. Seven turquoise teardrop shaped cabochons ring the lower neck and contrast nicely with the thick blue enamel appliques. The work is attached to a carved and lacquered wood stand. The Crane stands 12" tall (including base) and about 6" in width from tail to beak. The condition is excellent and original without damage or repairs. We note some discoloration on the right leg, but have not tried to clean. A few of the cloisonne tufts show some wear from age but we find nothing that distracts. The final photo shows some of these fine estate items that we are selling for a collector. NO RESERVE AUCTION with a low opening bid.
