Antique Collection 6 Kingfisher Hairpins/Ornaments 19 C Album Album Album Antique Collection of Six Chinese Kingfisher Feather Hairpins, Circa Late 19 th Century or Early 20th Century. The iridescent feathers are glued to the elaborate floral ornaments. Each hairpin is hand fabricated of wire and thin sheets of metal that are individually cut and gilt. The collection consists of two hairpins with double pins, two small hairpins with single pins, and two ornaments without pins. All are fabricated in floral designs; some with pink beads. Please look at the many pictures to see the details. Nice handwork to all six pieces. Height of longest hairpin: 13 cm (5.7 cm) including pin. Width: 4.5 cm (1.7 in), Height of second longest hairpin: 12.5 cm (4.8 in), Width: 4.5 cm (1.7 in), Widths (across flowers)of four smaller hairpins: 5.7 cm (2.2 in), 4.1 cm (1.6 in), 3.8 cm (1.5 in), 3 cm (1.2 in) Condition: All the metalwork is intact. Losses to feathers and beads. These can be repaired.
