Christine Viennet's trompe l'oeil pumpkin decorated with frog, snake, leaves and shells in the manner of Bernard Palissy(1510-1590).(Bernard Palissy's ceramics are renowned for being the most original and luxurious of the second half of the XVI century. He specialized in ceramic trompe l'oeil: the art of creating, into the infinite details, reptiles, batrichians, as well as a wide variety of botanical species. Palissy has greatly influenced artists of the XIX century who followed his knowledge and technics.)Christine Viennet, fascinated by the work and spirit of this great man recreates with passion in her own style, this wonderful tradition of trompe l'oeil.
