Civil War 1863 Discharge Document Norfolk Va Alexandier Vania 98th NYAlexandier Vania did not make to the end of the War, he was killed in May 1864 or was Captured & died in Captivity , His Body was never found. (This information can be found on the internet when looking up the 98th Reg NY.Enlisted in 1861 re-enlisted in 1863 died in 1864 , Discharge is on what looks to be like a parchment type of paper ?, it has a stamped embossed seal and some writing in Red Ink to the left on the page. It show wear from being 150 years old such as bent corners and folds lines worn in a spot or two. but overall pretty nice for the age.
