For auction: One (of 12) of the last items that will come directly from the estate of professional American magician Clare Cummings, fondly remember by most as Milky the (Twin Pines) Magic Clown. These are heirlooms that Mr. Cummings personally owned as keepsakes that highlighted the successes of his career through the years. After his death in 1994, the majority of Clare Cumming's magic tricks, props, and costume were donated to the American Museum of Magic in Marshall, Michigan. The items for auction on eBay passed briefly through his wife to their only daughter Peggy. Each item will include a certificate of authenticity signed by Peggy and certified by a North Carolina Notary Public, as shown in the listing photographs. Inspired in the company of the great Houdini and Thurston, Clare Cummings distinguished career began in 1929 at the young age of 17, to his farewell performance in 1992. He is best known for his years in Detroit, Michigan as the popular television personality for children in Milky’s Movie Party and Milky’s Party Time between 1950 and 1964. Many an enamored childhood fan knew the answer to the question: What’s the Magic Word? Twin Pines (!), being the television show's sponsor.
