Vertical Steam Engine Donkey Boiler Model.Approximately 11" tall and 5" wide at base and boiler approximately 3" in diameter. Photos are part of the description. The cylinder functions when the wheel is turned clockwise by hand.Copper sheathing "boiler" with intricate details especially with the valves and petcocks. Noticed two indentations in the copper sheathing. Chimney also has a deformation on top as seen in photos.Added more photos of area for heat source and one of the safety valve (the spring still has tension). The three valve handles open and close (but do not know if the valves actually work.) The closeup photo of the middle valve (handle facing downward) was added as I noticed the valve was a little loose but does appear to tighten back up and may need Permatex.Base is make of another metal.Being sold as-is and working condition is untested/unknown.Previously purchased and used as a desktop display model. An eBay member sent the following info that possible describes this donkey boiler:I checked the book 'Toy Steam Engines' by Bob Gordon and on page 9 is a photo of this engine. It appears to bea Marklin donkey engine and dates around 1905. A neat feature has the steam pipe routed back into the fireboxbefore it goes to the engine, superheating the steam.US Bidders Only.
