This is the Breyer Cleveland Bay painted to a stunning black chestnut with realistic star dappling! The piece was painted by the ultra talented Jean Barrett. This horse is slightly larger than traditional sized Breyers. It is about 11" Long x 10" High.He is painted in a mixed media of airbrushed acrylics, hand applied pastels and colored pencils. This allows for a realistic portrayal of the colors! This piece is a dark, almost black chestnut. The chestnut colors that show through the darkened coat are a honey red color. The horse has layers and layers of dapples on his barrel, loins and shoulders, with some on his neck. The mane and tail are a blending of the base coat colors. It is a mixture of the honey red color, cream and dark brown. The hooves have been detailed with growth rings. The eyes are tri-colored. He sports a star, stripe and a snip. He has been finished with a dull coat. His eyes and hooves have been glossed. All my work is created with excellence! Live Show Quality. My work has done very well at NAN, winning many Top Tens.
