1935 Audi Front 225 Front Roadster White Color in 1/18 scale by CMC! This is Audi Dealer Limited Edition, not regular CMC!T his model is not available in USA. It was available only through Audi Dealers in Germany. It has sprcial box with Audi Logo on it! CMC chose this front wheel drive roadster to celebrate 100 years of the Audi marque. It was in 1909 that August Horch left the Horch plant and opened a new factory at Zwickau, Saxony. Having left the company that was his namesake, He named this new endeavor Audi which is the Latin translation for Horch (Hark!). CMC certainly went all out to provide a model as groundbreaking as the original roadster was when it debuted at the 1935 Berlin Automobile Show. I would say that a 1600 parts count alone can make one impressive model, but the "parts" are just an outstanding tour de force of mixed media modeling that makes this model look incredibly real. There's the use of metal diecut stampings for the grill and bonnet covers that provide scale fidelity that you just can't get from thicker diecast pieces or chrome plated plastic. The bumpers too are hand formed stainless steel secured with tiny nuts and bolts. Even the windscreen is spooky real-looking with a chromed metal frame and glazing that is scale thickness and looks remarkably like glass.The whole model seems a perfect replication read more
