American. 1950s. Pressed steel, embossed. The TempRite Jr. model picnic cooler was among the smallest coolers made for Coca-Cola. It was designed to accommodate a six-pack of bottles surrounded by an appropriate amount of ice. Embossed, "TempRite Mfg. Co., Inc., Arkansas City, Kansas - Made in U.S.A. Pat Appld For", lower quarter of front and back. Original surface exhibits scattered scratches and light patches of oxidation. Surface losses and oxidation exist along the base edges. 14" x 12.5" x 9".
