VERY COLLECTIBLE MENTALISM Collector's Workshop 4-Volume Set of Bascom Jones's MAGICK If you were stranded on a desert island, MAGICK would be on the short list of essential reading material... If you've been in magic or mentalism for more than a few months, you know how important Bascom Jones and his MAGICK newsletter was. Unfortunately, the original newsletters are VERY scarce, and the Collector's Workshop bound copies are both expensive and out of print. MAGICK started coming out in 1970, and Bascom Jones continued publishing two newsletters a month -- without fail -- until his death in the early 90s. Each newsletter usually contained three excellent mentalism and/or magic routines and an editorial by Bascom, although sometimes he would devote the entire issue to one idea, if he thought it was important enough. This was all top-shelf material from working pros. A Mentalist's Dream Come True... Although early issues also contained some interesting magic close-up routines, by the time 1973 rolled around, Bascom had found his niche market... top-notch mentalism BY professional mentalists, FOR professional mentalists. When I first stumbled across MAGICK , I thought I had died and gone to Mentalist Heaven. IF you're interested in mentalism... you owe it to yourself to add this collection to your library. This auction is the complete set -- ALL FOUR bound volumes -- published by Collector's Workshop in the 1990s and t is NO RESERVE. The volumes are in good condition -- no ripped, bent or missing pages. Just recently, someone posted online that a complete collection of the newsletters went for $2000 a couple years ago, making each year of publication worth a little over $100 a piece.
