Fichu, Shoes, and 2 StomachersUp for auction is this breathtaking Ninet piece historical ensemble for Elizabeth or her friend Felicity. It includes a Gown, Petticoat, two Stomachers, Shawl, Slippers and Hooded Cloak. GOWN The gown is made from a Green striped fabric and has Green braid trim along the front and neckline. The sleeves have a Floral Fabric band that has been hand gatd and applied. They are also edged in a double row of antique Ivory Lace. Hand crocheted trim adorns the hemline for the perfect vintage touch! STOMACHERS In the 18th century, not everyone could have a different dress for every occasion. The way to remedy this was by the use of stomachers ( a decorative V-shaped panel of material worn over the chest and stomach). By having a collection of stomachers in different fabrics and decorations, one could make an old gown look new again! The first stomacher is made from the gown fabric and is decorated with five plump Sage Green bows. This styling was very common in the 18th Century. The second stomacher is made from Gold fabric that has four rows of vintage Gold Trim. It is also edged in Ivory Lace. Each stomacher attaches to the front of the Gown with four snaps. PETTICOAT/ SKIRT The Petticoat also known as the skirt is made from a Pretty cotton that has Floral bands running across it. The petticoat is full and has a snap closure. FICHU/SHAWL In the colonial days, Fichus were worn for warmth and modesty, since some of the necklines were quite low. This beautiful Fichu is made of delicate Ivory Lace that has splashes of Pink, Green , Burgundy and Ivory Flowers. It compliments the Flowers in the Petticoat so well! SLIPPERS & PARASOL Elizabeth keeps her feet warm by wearing her Burgundy Velvet slippers. They match the ensemble perfectly! She uses her pretty little parasol to shade her face from the sun. HOODED CLOAK The final touch for this ensemble is the Burgund y hooded Cloak. The Velour Velvet Cloak is fully lined and has Velour ties. The cloak is full and sweeps the ground just a bit when Elizabeth walks. Oh so elegant! Don't let this ensemble get away!It is a must for any collector.
