This is a complete Monon H.O. Scale IHC Thoroughbred Passenger Train, led by 2 Rivarossi EMD E-8 Diesel Locomotives 1 powered and 1 dummy. There are 9 IHC Heavyweight passenger cars with 9 interior kits. These streamlined diesel locomotives were built from 1937 until the early 1960's, but mostly just after WW II. The last of the great streamliners were classes E-8 and E-9 built by Electro Motive Division. Many Road Companies adopted these Locos to haul passenger-car trains. The Monon originally called CIL, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Louisville ran thru the heart of Indiana until the early 70's when it was bought by the Louisville & Nashville (L&N). It is now part of the SCX line.
