This is a complete set of vintage Japanese NOEL tiny head Santa Claus bells. I have not been able to determine the manufacturer of this set but Thames is a possibility.The set, now more than 60 years old, is in excellent condition in every regard. There are no chips, cracks, discolourations or attempted repairs, just some minor paint loss to two letters. The photographs, which form part of this description, are in true colour and represent each piece and the set as it actually appears.Each Santa Claus head bell measures approximately 2 1/4" in height, and features an old fashioned Santa Claus face with slightly elongated eyes, typical of early Japanese export design. Santa wears a typical holiday cap, to the front of which is affixed a green letter.The exact date of manufacture is unknown, but the set may have been made as early as 1952 or 1953 given the eyes and lack of a set number.The clappers are intact and are attached with the original string.Shipping is via Priority Mail Flat Rate Medium Box (or Priority Mail Flat Rate Small Box if it can be packaged safely ) and carries insurance to the value of $50. Alternate shipping arrangements are possible; all will carry insurance.
