5205 JUST FOUND A BOX of RARE RARE RARE Conte Collectibles Afghans which were made by us for use in our Scotland The Brave play sets (there were 2 different play sets and I need to check my records to see whether these were from Playset #1 or #2). These are in a couple of shades of brownish tan. These mountain tribesmen are made of resin and therefore -like almost all resin figures-- fragile and small parts like bayonets and swords and such can fairly easily break. There are eight (8)) figures here iincluding the guy defending himself on his back which was always in short supply..... I always liked the 3 charging /attacking figures.. There is ALOT of flashing on the figures which needs to be cleaned and removed but , hey...we're lucky I found any of these as I had been told for years by my 'competent'(NOT) Vegas staff that we were 'out of these'!!!! Highly sought after --we get asked all the time when are we going to 'rerun' the Highlanders& Afghans?? PICTURE IS OF SAMPLE SET. YOU WILL RECEIVE 8 figures . Colors will varyThese figures are absolutely beautiful sculpts and were done by a gentleman named Jim Holt who deserves the credit for transforming my designs into reality......for years people have often mistakenly given Ken Osen credit for sculpting these--and whilst Ken is a terrific sculptor--he had NOTHING to do with these or the Afghans which go with them....all kudos to Mr. Holt who did 100% of the sculpting!!!!! There is a certain elegance to these sculpts which makes them look as though they stepped out of a Caton-Woodville period engraving--which not surprisingly was my intention when I gave the assignment to the talented Mr. Holt!! Sold as is...if they break they break..be careful...and definitely don't shoot at these beauties with rubber bands.....any bent weapons can be straightened with the hot water/cold water methid known to plastic collectors. in 1/32 scale and absolutely a delightful toy. If your order is being shipped parcel post , the post office may take up to 10 days to deliver.IT IS NOT OUR FAULT IF THE POST OFFICE IS SLOW. Priority Mail will usually take 3-5 days. PArcel post will take up to 10 days--please do not leave us negative feedback for slow delivery (as some inexperienced ebayers have done) when the post office takes a while to deliver via parcel post.....also.
