Up for auction is a new, never worn, perfect original Cooper Sportswear Mfg. Co. A2 flight jacket. These jackets were official issue to our air force and navy pilots. The Cooper Co. was and is the official maker of leather flight jackets for our air force and navy beginning during WWII and still makes the issue jackets today. This beautiful flight jacket is made of 100% genuine brown goatskin. The condition of the flight jacket is brand new, never worn. Size is 44 regular. The jacket measures 48" at the chest, 32" at the unstretched waist, and the shoulder seam to shoulder seam is 22", and shoulder seam to cuff is 25.5". The tag at the neck reads Cooper Type A2 manufactured exclusively by the Cooper defense contract division supplier to the US Air Force.
