This is a very nice Victorian olive green drabware relief-molded syrup pitcher made by Copeland, England in their 'Oak Leaf & Acorn' pattern registered on December 3 1867. The molded acorns and leaves are entwined on a wooden fence, the handle is in the form of a branch, the spout is a molded leaf, and the pewter metal lid has a bone (?) decoration on the thumb piece. The pitcher or jug is 6 1/2" high and the base is marked with faintly impressed 'Copeland' and '3C' and British Registration Mark. The lid has 'Thompson's Patent' on the top behind the hinge and 'Broadhead & Co' on the inside of the lid. There is a tight hairline that runs from the rim down to and across the bottom of the handle, light brown small spots on the front body, and a glaze pop just below the spots...please enlarge the pictures to assess. Otherwise condition is good and this still displays well. This item weighs 2 3/4 pounds safely packed for shipment. Please use the shipping calculator to see shipping methods and costs.
