Tracing their origins to great - grandfather John Harris, of Chuckfield, Sussex (1833 - 1901) a timber merchant and haulier who also operated a Doby set of horses in the summer months .Frederick Harris, son and grandfather whose name is still carried on the Gallopers he built, moved to Ashington, Sussex in 1901 and the brothers continue to operate out of this original yard. Purchased and operated by Fredrick Harris's cousin Harry, 'Marina' was a purpose - built Showmans Fowler Little Lion. It was used to pull and power the Waltzing Cars Ride until it was sold for scrap in the 1950's. Subsequently sold into preservation its present whereabouts is unknown. This stunning traction engine model is in dark blue, with polished gold effect twisted columns, steering wheel, and front pulley, the wheels and body work is enriched by gold coach lining, a smoke stack is also provided as is a limited edition certificate, model length 13cm.
