is a very nice medium sapphire blue, blob top soda bottle. Marked: CRYSTAL SODA WORKS, GEORGE MARTIN PROP., TUCSON ARIZONA Some bubbles in the glass, solid base. Some case wear on the embossing. Slight wear on top. Overall, a VERY NICE bottle!! Bottle dates post 1908 based on the following: George Martin, Jr., having graduated from the University of California School of Pharmacy, took over the operation of the store in 1906, a year before the death of his father. ( see note 21 ) In 1908 the Martin Drug Company was incorporated and George, Jr. became a member of the State Board of Pharmacy, serving until 1915. I would not consider it a chip which has a more flaked appearance. I've photographed it from 2 angles. The flash makes it appear more prominent than it appears in natural light.
