is a very nice medium sapphire blue, blob top soda bottle.Marked: CRYSTAL SODA WORKS, GEORGE MARTIN PROP., TUCSON ARIZONA Some bubbles in the glass, solid base. Some case wear on the embossing. Slight wear on top. Overall, a VERY NICE bottle!! Bottle dates post 1908 based on the following: George Martin, Jr., having graduated from the University of California School of Pharmacy, took over the operation of the store in 1906, a year before the death of his father. ( see note 21 ) In 1908 the Martin Drug Company was incorporated and George, Jr. became a member of the State Board of Pharmacy, serving until 1915. On December 28, 1908 Martin Drug Company purchased the Crystal Soda Bottling Company. http://www./exhibits/ronstadt/jan/ss56/ss56pt1.html http://www.blm.gov/historic_bottles/soda.htm#Blob%20Soda/Mineral%20Water%20Style In response to multiple questions on condition I have added several pictures. (Unfortunately, I can not add the picture pack feature which makes them larger after the original listing - eBay's fault.) The bottle has some grinding marks on the inside of the lip. I would not consider it a chip which has a more flaked appearance. I've photographed it from 2 angles. The flash makes it appear more prominent than it appears in natural light. T are no other faults that I can discern. The base is fine, t is some case wear on the lowest edges of the seams and the embossed letters in the word TUCSON and ARIZ. Hope this helps, I'm not a bottle collector and my observations are subjective. I am selling these and more to come from a collector's estate.
