This magnificent cobalt crystalline glaze lamp base by John Mankameyer MANKA a studio potter is 17" tall and in perfect condition. The girth is approximately 8". A wonderful example of John's work. Not to mention a spectacular color. It was without a doubt made to be a lamp. Both the hold in the top for the wiring and socket post is glazed and colored just as the lamp base itself as is the hole in the side at the bottom for the wire. The bottom is hollow as you can see and he has inscribed into the bottom edge of the inside clay Manka 12-87.
