Selling my Somewhat Rare and Very Collectible Military MILES System Collection. The Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System, (MILES), is the military's version of "Laser Tag". Widely used in the 1980's this system is not used much anymore. The battery compartment has some corrosion, but it is very mild, and it does not look like a battery ever exploded in it. I am selling as "Display Item Only". Check out my other Miles Gear auctions! The Haness, and Halo are both made by Cubic Defense Application Inc. The Torso Harness what the solider would wear during training. The soldier's combat weapon had a laser device attached to the muzzle, and it would fire a laser beam when a blank was fired from the weapon. If the weapon was aimed correctly, the beam would strike the sensor of the MILES Gear, and an alarm would sound. The unit has a "Basic Test" with a controller gun, and appears to be working correctly. The harness responds to the God Gun when the trigger is pressed with a near miss tone, and will alarm when the God Gun's trigger is pressed along with the "Universal Kill" button is pressed, (I also have the controller guns for sale). Another pull of the controller gun trigger will reset the vest. I tried to show the condition of the screen, and back lighting. You may be able to scan the code the view the instruction for this harness. read more
