CUENCA ART POTTERY TILE TRIANA SEVILLA SPAIN MENSAQUE Description Great, old, art pottery tile which was styled using the Cuenca technique by making and outline so the different glazes would not pool together. Man in leotards is playing ball with his dog. Approximately 5 3/8" x 5 3/8" x 7/16" thick. Marked on the back: MENSAQUE RODRIGUEZ SEVILLA S A TRIANA. This was made in Spain. Very good vintage condition. Some very small nicks on the edges as seen in the pictures. Crackling of the glaze that is on one wall and floor. I do not see any crackling on the other glazes. Crackling occurs during the cooling process. A little yellow glaze thin flake is missing at the man's knee. View my other auctions for more pottery items.
