Custers 7th Cavalry Insignia Model 1872 Description Model 1872 pattern 7th Cavalry crossed sabre insignia. Of recent manufacture, stamped from the original dies by a US maker. They are 2 5/8" wide and hollow backed. T is an old penny in one image for scale that is not part of this auction. These are the correct Indian War type insignia with attaching wires on the back, not to be confused with the new smaller, solid construction, clutch back insignia being offered elsew The item pictured is the one you are bidding on.
