Up for grabs is a pretty sweet custom handled Ace brand carpenters axe I had fun doing up........This piece turned out rad, I did some lamination of multi layers of wood on top of a solid hickory stringer that runs the full distance of the handle......... ... .......This axe is approx.. 14 inches long and 1 pound 10 ozes total weight, the head alone is approx. 1 pound 3.4 ozes.....I dressed the edge and got it chip free and sharp......I did some color work to the wood to get her a rad deep red fading into purple........ All in all a cool old head and I hope you see the same beauty in her that I do............Like I said this axe is sharp so she should not be considered a toy at any time, if she hits a finger or toe it will remove it..........This handle is made from one piece of solid Hickory for the core and laminated birch scales on the sides..............I set the head using both wood wedges and epoxy and got a nice tight fit that looks good on both the top and bottom...........I sanded the handle silky smooth and used several coats of clear enamel for the final finish.............Please ask questions.....I do combine when ever possible....cheaper on you and easier on me....shipping quoted in auction is intended for the lower 48 United States only....all others may be more.....by bidding on this axe you verify and confirm that read more
