This auction is for a Danbury Mint 1958 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE SPORT COUPE 50th ANNIVERSARY LIMITED EDITION in 1:24 scale. This model is INCREDIBLY RARE, and while it will display very nicely, unfortunately, it has some flaws to note. First, it is missing its spotlight, which is a common occurrence on these. This on e is no exception. The hole is there, so if one were to find a parts car, this could be easily replaced. Next, there are some paint blemishes, notably on the driver side top of the front fender, just beneath the fender ornament, and on the left side of the back of the trunk, to the left of the "Bonneville" lettering. Both appear to be touch ups, and the color is just a tad off. It isn't terribly obvious, except when looking closely. Next, there is some pitting on the driver side of the front bumper. it shows as some tiny copper colored dots. Again, it is something seen up close, but from a few inches or so away, is not terribly obvious. This car obviously has been displayed, and I believe those are all of the notable flaws. Okay, so those are the issues... Now for the good stuff, and there is plenty to note! Aside from the noted flaws, the car is still in excellent condition, and still looks terrific! It is one of the most highly sought after Danbury Mint models, and while this one isn't mint, it still has a lot going for it! Aside from the noted paint issues, the rest of the Burma Green and Calypso Green two tone paint on this model is outstanding! It is an incredibly beautiful color combination! It is very deep and glossy, and (aside from where noted) is in magnificent condition! There is very little if any paint rash, and again, the color combination is amazingly striking! It is truly a classic and a beautiful car, and one of the best Danbury Mint has ever made! The pictures do not do this justice! As can be seen in the photos, the car will display wonderfully! The details are just lovely. The chrome foil lettering and etched metal emblems are stunning in their intricacy, and are just exquisite, and all of the emblems are in like new condition! Much of the foil details are even still covered by their clear protective vinyl strips! The chrome shines, and aside from the noted front bumper pitting, it is in excellent condition! The matching two-tone green interior looks brand new, and is fantastic! The windows are clean and clear. Except for the spotlight, he car is intact in every way, and all other parts are present and functional. The wheels turn, and pivot with the steering wheel. This comes in its original box, and protective styrofoam, and with the Danbury Mint Certificate of Title, and the Unpacking and Care Instructions. There is no other paperwork. There is some writing on the end of the box, indicating the model within. This VERY HARD TO FIND model, while not perfect, still displays fabulously! This car can get quite expensive, but with a VERY LOW opening bid, here is a chance to own one at a very reasonable price! And it is priced to sell! It will be packed with great care, including plenty of packing material in an outer box, to assure no damage to this RARE and spectacular model. Shipping will include insurance.
