You are bidding on the pictured car. It is mint in the box with paperwork. The '56 Ford, slightly reworked from its predecessor, featured a new grille and a bolder treatment of the sweep-spears. The top engine choice was now a 312ci. V-8 and a switch made to a 12-volt system. The DM Sunliner is dressed up with many factory options: skirts, rocker panel moldings and Connie-kit. The slightly recessed gauges with chrome bezels and other dash controls are carefully done. Door panels are very well done, yet the plastic-like seats lack folding seatbacks and are somewhat warped. Under the hood is the big V-8 that's mated to a standard shift tranny with "3-on-the-tree". Nice details include correct T-Bird valve cover decals, heater/blower system , hoses and the washer bag. In the rear are handsome combination back-up/taillight units and the pivoting spare which provides access to the trunk. The trunk floor is tan plastic and seems wrong. Undercarriage detailing is very good, especially the duals that snake thru the X-member to the bumper exhaust tips. Shipping $14.00 Priority Mail. International extra.
