Offered is a stunning red flambe oxblood pottery vase by J David Broudo. It's hand thrown and has some extra clay placed on the base of the pot bu Broudo. This may have been an experimental piece.. It's fired to a beautiful red flambe glaze, some might call it oxblood. It looks like it glows from within. There are a couple of very small glaze pops and one larger one that can be seen, the size f a large pepper flake. The interior offers a nice contrasting white. The vase is signed on the bottom. The vase measures 3" tall x 3 1/4 wide at its widest. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The areas of white are the reflection of me and my camera and the lighting, I can never seem to avoid that!Joseph David Broudo was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1920. After receiving his degree in Ceramic Art and Design from Alfred College in 1942, he went on to become the Director of the Art Program at Endicott College for nearly half a century and now serves as Professor Emeritus there. Broudo exhibited his pots widely at mid-Century and his works are included in both important public and private collections worldwide. This is one of two pots that I am listing. Thank you for your interest.
