Dawn of the Dead with Bonus SPI 1978 - Solitaire to Four Player - Lock & Load, we are going to the Mall, but it ain't for Shopping! See Supersize Images! Rare and Out of Print!!!! One of SPI's most popular and well-known titles, Dawn of the Dead adapts George A. Romero's classic horror film into a fast-paced, lock-and-load, we-are-gonna-shoot- zombies-who-are-everyw game. And we are gonna shoot them in a Mall!!! Okay, we are maybe the last four humans in a world of the undead and our only chance is to turn the mall into our fortress against the zombies outside and to do that we have to lock up the mall and "kill" the freaks in the place - BUT WHO CARES! - we are gonna shoot zombies in a mall!!!! If our guns don't get the nasties our bad jokes and puns will! This game is rare because it is the most fun one can ever have at a mall without making a single purchase. T are special instructions for solitaire play, so you can shoot'em up anytime you want. The rules say one to two players, but with four humans and an army of zombies, why not have 4 human players and divide up the zombies into squads and why not bring that up to 6 players or more? Dawn of the Dead contains a 17" x 22" map, 100 cardboard playing pieces, easy-to-learn rules, and various playing aids." The game is complete though one of the zombies is a homemade replacement (see bonus below). The counters (see SuperSize images) are in new condition though most are punched (the lesser used ones are unpunched). The map is clean and bright and in excellent or better condition. The rules are in excellent condition with white pages, slight aging, some creasing, and are in excellent condition (though perhaps on the lower side - judge for yourself with the SuperSize image) with no writing or underlining. The map is in excellent condition with vivid colors. The cover art - cheesy as the genra demands (my lord, the zombie looks more human than the humans!) - is in fine shape though t is noticeable wear, the wear is mostly edgewear. The boxes are solid with no side splits. The box bottom is just a white rectangle with a mild dent. The bonus is in the spirit of the game - you can never have or kill enough zombies! The bonus is a 2nd set of full-color counters printed out onto a cardboard stock a bit thicker than half the thickness of the original counters. Thick enough to handle nicely and different enough to be able to tell the difference between them and the originals.
