Up for auction today is a beautiful Green Opalescent Glass COOKIE JAR. I think this pattern is called "Cherry and Cable" or "Cherry Thumbprint". It is a very well made piece of glass with no rough seams,sharp edges or cloudiness. It is in perfect shape with no cracks,scratches,flea bites or chips. It measures approximately 8" high X 8" wide (from handle to handle) and 6 1/2" round. It is a pretty substantial cookie jar! It weighs almost 6 pounds with nothing in it! It was hand made in Cambridge,OHIO and is signed on the bottom. It is not depression glass, just the depression Green color. This is truly a beautiful piece of glass and would make a wonderful addition to any glass or cookie jar collection!
