"Lincoln Memorial" American Pride Collection Dept. 56 Item #57702 introduced 2002 and retired 2005. Inscribed in the memorial in Washington: "In this temple as in the hearts of the people for whom he saved the Union, the memory of Abraham Lincoln is enshrined forever. Mint condition piece in original box & sleeve. Included is the porcelain building facade with light cord, Department 56 Patriot Pin, and collectible scroll of "The Gettysburg Address." The Lincoln Memorial is a tribute to our 16th President, the man who maintained the unity of our country with dedication, compassion and dignity for all. Inscribed on the back of this memorial are the first lines of the Gettysburg Address, Lincoln's most famous speech honoring soldiers who fought in the Civil War's largest battle.
