This auction is for an outstanding Set of 4 pcs Deruta scallop edges SOUP PASTA plates in one of the finest Raffaellesco Deruta available,please note the fine details and the richest of color. It is completely made and painted by hand by Mastro Carlo in Deruta. When I say made by hand I mean that each piece is not just hand painted but it is individually hand crafted.They are new item , in mint conditions - no chips, cracks or crazing,the white MARK ARE DO TO THE CAMERA FLASH. RAFFAELLESCO: Deruta, Faenza and Florence all have a special Raffaellesco interpretationin their majolica tradition. The name comes from Raphael, one of the greatartists of the Italian Renaissance. The dragon represent a benevolent powerwho helps discovery and protects from adversaries and it is one of thegrotesque motifs created by Raphael and his school when commissioned by the Pope to paint the Logge Vaticane SIZES: Each of the 4 sop pasta plates (shallow bowls) measure 25 cm (10") *******GUARANTEE******* While you are buying a piece of Deruta pottery, please make sure that the piece is signed under glaze on the bottom (NO STICKERS!!!).
