Desco Browne Lung Rebreather.This is a mid 1900s Browne Lung Rebreather that I found about 20 years ago while cleaning the house after my grandfather's death. There aren't many of these left in the world and their history is fading. The canvas is deteriorating badly and must be handled with care. This is a true piece of history that would definitely add to someone's collection or muaeum.The mask valve opens and closes and so does the oxygen tank valve. The hoses connect to the mask but I don't do it so that I don't overstress the canvas.I sent photos of it to a maritime museum and was told that it was worth somewhere between $600-$1500.
