Since its 1989 premiere, ''The Little Mermaid'' has been hailed as a Classic and now Princess Ariel is celebrated with a doll truly worthy of the title. Ariel Special Edition shimmers in a 2-tonefaille seashell-shaped bodice, hand-beaded with sequins and pearls cascading down the center. Glistening mother-of-pearl colored sequins swirl around her and her 2-tone organza tail, embroidered with golden swirls and hand-sewn bugle beads. Adorning her hair is a sparkling seashell tiara enhanced by delicate sprays of pearls. Completing the outfit is a glittered organdy sea kelp cape, fastened by a crystal starfish and a beautiful glowing scepter draped in pearls. Ariel also features dramatic lifelike eyelashes, hand-styled flowing hair that captures the spirit of a mermaid underwater, had-sewn fasteners, sequins, beads and gems, a custom-designed shell display stand, and clamshell-styled carrying and display case.
