Here is an amazing piece of early Ditmar Urbach Majolica pottery. It is a covered marinateing dish for Herring. Made from a soft paste porcelain in the 1920-30s period and in great condition with only the rear fin being reglued on. Shows wonderfully and with a bold statement of a Deco period masters pottery work. Notice the fruits and vegtibles on the lid is such detail and in relief it looks like real food. Handles are a tin blue glaze and along the body is a very colorful swag floral design along with the blue rods to hold them. This rare find measures 11 inches long by 5 3/4 wide and is 6.5 inches tall. hurry this wont last long!!!
