This is a piece of the Djoumine meteorite. It fell on October 31, 1999 in Banzart, Tunisia. A bright flash preceded the fall of this meteorite and several stones fell outside the village of Djoumine. Djoumine is classified as a chondrite, (H6). Most of this meteorite was snapped up quickly by private collectors and little was ever sold on the open market. Only ~9 kilograms fell. This piece weighs 1.55 gram and is a fresh fragment. I am a meteorite dealer and fully gaurantee the authenticity of every meteorite and tektite specimen I sell. Be sure to see me in the March 1999 issue of the Smithsonian Magazine, I am featured in an article about meteorite hunters! I am also featured in Fortune Small Business magazine. Fortune Small Business Magazine Buyer pays $2.00 shipping worldwide.
