My friend at work is slowly getting rid of his wife's'collections' (unfortunately she is not well ...). She was from Boston and this may have been handed down from her parents (I have listed other pieces and will be glad to combine shipping). In this auction, we have a very nice medium sized plate by DORCHESTER POTTERY that measures approx. 7-1/2" in diameter. This stunning piece of art has a lovely picture of a sailboat on a cream glazed background and edged in a medium/dark blue. The underside is also cream glazed - market DORCHESTER POTTERY and signed by the decorator, R. Trotter. I'd say it is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks ... just some of the normal imperfections to be expected in a handmade item. (This plate looks perfect with the light blue plate I've listed in another auction!!)
