Low, "flat" Dugan Double Stem Rose Plate in classic White carnival -- all over luscious icy iridescence on this 9½" plate, with plain exterior. Stands 2¾" high, due to the dome base, but a plate nonetheless, as the edges do not cup (with a curve, the edge would look like an "ice-cream shape" bowl, which this one does not). Rim is pronounced sawtooth, and has no chips. Domed base is totally un-nicked, as well. Note the highly sought after "onion-skin" iridescence all the way around the plate! Pattern is high relief, especially with the roseate in the center - t is ample iridescence, even in the nooks and crannies of the roses! The iridescence glows through to the obverse, making it just as showy as the front! Really terrific showcase piece! T are two mold lines. Mold lines meet smoothly, but can be felt, e.g., at the base edge. Dugan's years of production of this pattern commenced circa 1911. Please note: as always, all our photos are taken in sunlight. T is no coloring re-touch of photos, or trick or colorized lighting involved in the photography. "Whatyouseeiswhatyouget". Dugan's amazing pastel finish accentuates the classic pattern. Has not been chipped or damaged from use. Has only few of the usual strawmarks and small bubbles, for its age. Piece is unmarked. No Reserve!! Best luck bidding!! This is old glass - one read more
